The first step in cleating the plan is to the create the scope. Scopes vary depending on what you'd like to do with your inspection. We can guide the scope selection by asking a few basic questions about the structure.
Full Scope-Encompasses the entire structure including surge protection.*
Partial Scope-Is limited to the area(s) you define for inspection. For example, maybe you are splitting your structure with another tenant (or branch of service). Possibly parts of the structures may be off limits to the inspector.
*surge protection inspection can be added or removed from the scope at your will.
Electronic Testing
For resistance testing, a test plan is required. Typically, these are handed in during the submittal phase of the construction process. If the test plan available, we will review the test plan to ensure the testing has been done properly. If the initial test plan is not available, we can create one.
Visual Inspection
SLP has created a unique way of gathering asset and asset information to provide in an immersive report. Each inspection starts with creating the Compliance Action Plan (CAP). After creating a CAP, we inspect each LPS asset, which is then graded against the CAP. The results are then reported back to you. Any Non-Compliant items found will create an Action item. These action items will need correcting before the structure can be considered 100% Compliant.
Each SLP Report comes with an interactive Map of Assets and a detailed breakdown of each section of Assets. See Below!
Assets are each component that make up the Lightning Protection System.
