Industrial plants typically have unique air terminals installed when LPS is installed. Installation companies call these many things: spline ball, dissipation air terminal, and streamer delay air terminal, to name a few. These Air Terminals, or lightning rods, help reduce the streamer (ions leaving the structure). The streamer is where the step leader connects, resulting in a direct strike. These lightning rods help "push" LPS to hit another object away from your precious personnel or equipment. Thes LPS systems still have to be installed and function as a standard lighting protection system.
If you need a site walkthrough to see if you're a good candidate for the LPS described above contact us today.
If you've had LPS installed, we can help post-installation. If you need guidance on whether you've got a quality installation, we can inspect the craftsmanship. Even though the installation is of a high quality, they may have missed something.
If you've received a quote for LPS, we can help you determine if you're getting a good value for the cost. Some things that best suit your needs may be left out or added.
If you've been struck by lightning with or without protection, we can help evaluate for damages around your facility. If you'd like a first or second opinion, please get in touch with us now. Contact Us!
